With fashion being one of the top polluting industries in the world, Sunrae Swim is committed to combat this issue by only supporting eco-friendly and sustainable practices. We start by producing in small batches to eliminate waste, while giving you an exclusive suit - handmade with attention to detail. We work strategically with our manufacturers to create as little fabric waste as possible when determining sizes/quantities, while repurposing left over fabric scraps into beds for abandoned animals.

 

INNOVATIVE FABRICS: 

When it comes to materials, all of our suits are either made with recycled or biodegradable fabrics. Each year, an estimated 33 billion pounds of plastic is dumped into our oceans, polluting our natural resources, harming sea life, and contributing to climate crisis - all reasons why we’ve chosen our main fabric to be our premium Italian ECONYL® - a regenerated nylon fabric obtained from littered fishing nets, water bottles, and other post consumer plastic waste. This recycled material reduces plastic waste, doesn't use new fossil fuels, and has a less polluting production process. For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® created, 65,100 tons of CO2 emissions are avoided and 70,000 barrels of crude oil are saved. Our secondary and biodegradable fabrics are knitted with AMNI SOUL ECO®: a sustainable yarn who’s cutting-edge formula allows it to decompose 10x faster in landfills than other synthetic fibers. Once exposed to the bacteria and absence of oxygen in a landfill, its accelerated degradation will begin, eliminating itself from the planet in 3-5 years, while others take decades.
